Getting Started
How do I create an account?

Download PurAlpha from the App Store, tap "Sign Up", enter your email and password, then pick your trading interests. You'll be in the feed in under a minute.

Is PurAlpha free to use?

Yes — PurAlpha is completely free to download and use. Browse the feed, follow traders, post trade ideas, and use the AI research tools at no cost.

What markets does PurAlpha cover?

Stocks, options, crypto, forex, and macro. You can filter your feed by the markets you actively trade.

Verified Badge
How does earnings verification work?

Tap "Verify Earnings" on your profile and upload a brokerage statement. Our team reviews it against your claimed P&L and approves or requests changes within 1–3 business days. Once approved, your verified badge and actual P&L appear on every post.

Which brokerages are supported?

Any brokerage that provides a standard trade history or account statement — TD Ameritrade, Robinhood, Schwab, Interactive Brokers, Coinbase, Kraken, and more. If your statement shows your trades and P&L, we can verify it.

Will my full statement be visible to other users?

No. Your statement is only visible to the PurAlpha verification team and is stored in a private, encrypted bucket. Only your verified P&L total is displayed publicly.

Why was my verification rejected?

Common reasons: the statement period doesn't match the claimed P&L, key fields are redacted, or the file is illegible. You'll receive a message explaining what to fix — you can resubmit at any time.

Account & Privacy
How do I reset my password?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.

How do I delete my account?

Go to your Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your posts, followers, and data. This action cannot be undone.

Who can see my posts?

Posts are public by default — anyone on PurAlpha can view them. Direct messages are private between participants only.

Push Notifications
I'm not receiving notifications. What should I do?

Go to your iPhone's Settings → PurAlpha → Notifications and make sure notifications are enabled. Then open the app — it will re-register with our servers. If the problem persists, try deleting and reinstalling the app.

Can I choose which notifications I receive?

You can control notification permissions at the iOS system level (Settings → PurAlpha → Notifications). Per-type controls (e.g. likes only, no comments) are on the roadmap.

Content & Community
How do I report a post or user?

Tap the "..." menu on any post or profile and select "Report". Our moderation team reviews all reports and takes action within 24 hours.

What content is not allowed?

Fabricated P&L claims, pump-and-dump schemes, harassment, spam, and off-topic content. See our Terms of Service for the full list.
